Yep…that’s us. Well not now. Jeremy and I started dating on November 4, 2000. Why so specific? Because we never looked back. This picture was taken at a high school dance in Cozad, Nebraska (our home then and now) that he was DJing. We had been dating for a little over a month and were at our first dance as a couple. If it’s not healthy to believe in soul mates, I don’t care. Jeremy and I were made for each other; we make each other better. We are each others’ better half. Where I’m weak, he’s strong. Where he’s weak, I’m strong. It just works. Perfect? No. Perfect imperfection? Yes.

Our story has so much more to it than just high school sweethearts. We know God called us to be together and help others. Jeremy was diagnosed with Severe Depression in 2009. We almost lost each other many times. After two near-death accidents and multiple suicide attempts, we finally understood our purpose…to understand, and then to help others understand, we are never alone. “Never Alone: A Husband and Wife’s Journey with Depression and Faith” is a reality now. Published by Jacol Publishing, Inc. and released on Amazon in eBook format on March 13, 2015 and then in paperback in April 2015, “Never Alone” is our full story detailing how God protected us and called us to spread His love and truth to others suffering from unseen illnessesĀ or supporting a loved one with one and believing they are alone.
